Alhamdulillah, the moon of Rajab 1447 AH has been sighted, and the blessed month of Rajab will begin on Monday, December 22, 2025. Rajab is one of the four sacred months in Islam, a time when good deeds are rewarded more and believers are encouraged to stay away from sins.Rajab is considered the first step in preparing for Ramadan. During this month, Muslims increase their worship through repentance (istighfar), voluntary prayers, and fasting, so they may be spiritually and mentally ready for Ramadan. Scholars say that Rajab is the month of planting seeds, Sha‘ban is for nurturing them, and Ramadan is the month of harvesting the rewards.

The federalgovernment has stated that the moon for Rajab 1447 AH was sighted in Pakistan, as noted in an official announcement.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony released the notice on Sunday.
It mentioned that the decision was made by the Central Ruet e Hilal Committee.
According to the notification, the newmonth of 1 Rajab 1447 AH will start on Monday, December 22, 2025.
